Documentation Specialist

Job Description:

This position is responsible for maintaining the projects’s documents by managing the storage, archiving and retrieval of them. The document specialist will perform document control by reviewing or editing documents before they are sent to clients or achieved.  


  • Update logs, databases, and catalogues 
  • Maintain files of engineering drawings, project reports, specifications, product proposals and documentation 
  • Prepare process and status reports, assigns and monitors document numbers, and reviews documents for accuracy and completeness 
  • Ensure documents meet standards for production 
  • Input and update data records 
  • May use CAD database, software blueprints or copy/microfilm machines for reproduction of documentation 
  • May order supplies to maintain reproduction services =


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in relevant area
  • Highly organized 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Proficient in computer software programs such as, word processors, spreadsheet programs, and database systems 
  • Basic analytical experience 
  • Proficient typing skills 
  • Data organization and storage knowledge 
  • Minimum SECRET Security Clearance Required
