Database Administrator

Job Description:

This position will be responsible for maintaining the performance, integrity, and security of a database and applications. Will require both technical level experience and ability to interface with all levels of users. The database administrator will be responsible for interacting and understanding various Oracle database settings. This position will also require user support as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the program’s solution with the capability to access data sources external to the company to enable users to produce, administer, and close-out procurement instruments  
  • Ensure that any imported data is consistent with and validated against business rules 
  • Plans computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection 
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries 
  • Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls 
  • Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management 
  • Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system 
  •  Supports and maintains Oracle database applications 
  •  Conducts system tuning, performance monitoring and database maintenance 
  •  Develops reports and custom requests for users 
  •  Assists with application and user support when needed

Skills/Responsibilities:
