Configuration Management Specialist

Job Description:

The configuration management specialist will provide direct expert analysis support and recommendations to continue the performance and improvements of the company’s software. Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed software and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive configuration approach that ensures system integrity
  • Perform three direct studies, analyses, and assessments that address future business process and deliver results
  • Identify and recommend improvements on system operations and processes for each of the studies
  • Provide company-specific solution stated Concept of Operations (CONOPS) that address front-end User Experience (UX) and back-end data synchronization methodology 
  • Provide a comprehensive company-specific solution CONOPS in support of the organization that administer classifies obtaining actions and/or serve classified requiring activities
  • Develop and maintain software configurations management tools to support usage of internally developed and externally purchased software
  • Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations and are logistically sustainable
  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database, or script languages to improve software modeling and development
  • Design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use
  • Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use
  • Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards
  • Conduct testing on all software products for applicable OS platforms utilizing systems analysis techniques and procedures
  • Maintain close-loop discrepancy
  • Collect metric data for trend analysis
  • Publish test reports and review material prior to general distribution

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant area
  • Ability to perform a studies, analyses, and assessments
  • Ability to analyze results and generate recommendations on improvements

  • Minimum SECRET security clearance required
